Apply For An Islamic Divorce

In Islam, men and women can ask for a divorce. Men can start a divorce through talaq. Women can start a divorce through different procedures.  More frequently, the process usually involves a Khula application. We offer a fixed fee service.

What is Khula? It is an Islamic divorce application requested by the wife. With this application, a Sharia Council will grant you a divorce. In general, it involves the wife repaying all, or part of, her Mehr.

How much does it cost? Our Khula Divorce Package is £600 (+ VAT). Please note there is also a £250 application fee payable to the Shariah Council.

Do I need my husband’s permission to apply for Khula? You do not need your husband’s permission to apply for a Khula. Our team have significant experience in obtaining khula for our clients and can support you through the process.

What if I don’t know where my husband lives?  You can still obtain an Islamic divorce. Call our team to find out your options.

STEP TWO

Sharia Council

The Sharia Council will acknowledge your application and send your husband a copy for him to reply. They will send additional copiesif he doesn’t reply.

STEP THREE

The Sharia Council will review your application and arrange a meeting to discuss the matter.

STEP FOUR

Certificate

After the Sharia Council reaches their decision, you will be issued with an Islamic divorce certificate. This ends your marriage, according to Islam.
